Consignment Guidelines (Consignments by Appointment Only)
We Accept: Clothing, Shoes, Belts, Jewelry, Purses and Housewares
1. Current in-season clothing:
A. Clothing must be freshly laundered or dry cleaned.
B. Clothes must be brought in on hangers to prevent wrinkling. If accepted, wrinkled clothes, tag-less clothes or clothes with garage sale stickers will be set at a lower price. Sorry, we DO NOT accept cloths with stains, spots, holes, buttons missing bad zippers or lingering odors (such as smoke). We also DO NOT accept dated or vintage clothing. Sorry, No Wedding Dresses.
C. Any hangers will be returned to the consignor.
2. A variety of items will sell better than too many of one thing.
3. If it looks like something you would not buy, then it probably will not sell.
4. Sorry, we may not accept:
A. Women's over sized blazers
B. Women's or Men's themed/busy sweaters
C. Men's suits or blazers/sports jackets
D. Sets of dishes larger than 4 place settings
5. Each appointment is scheduled for 1 hour and is limited to 30 items. 50 items are scheduled for 2 hours. This allows us time to give our full
attention to you, the consignor, inspect and re-hang the clothes, write a description into our computer and price/ticket the items. If you bring in
more than your allowed amount, we may give back any extras.
6. Each consignment is kept active for 60-65 days. During that time the consignor's items have two markdown cycles. After 30 days items are
marked down 25% off and after 45 days they will be marked down 50% off full price. A Handling Fee of $1.00 is applied to each item. This
is a charge that the purchasing customer pays when item is sold. Please Note: Holiday Items maybe consigned for less than 65 days, per the
consignor's agreement. Holiday items will be pulled from the floor one week after the holiday. Payment will expire one year from date of original consignment.
7. At the end of the consignment period, any items that have not sold will be removed from the selling floor. Consignors may either choose to have
their items donated for a tax credit or returned to consignor for a $5.00 handling fee. Any donated clothes are sent to
Caregiving Network in Midland, MI.
8. Consignment checks are issued on Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays.
You will receive one check at the end of your consignment period of 40% of the total
sales of your items. Sorry, we DO NOT write checks until you physically enter the store.You may arrange to have your check mailed.
You may also request store credit.
9. Twice Is Nice assumes no responsibility for items left on consignment.
Please call us to confirm that the consignment time has finished. Sorry, we cannot call you.
Any items not picked up 60 days after the consignment end date will become property of the store.
